After you’ve checked out our site, we’d love for you to come by and see the daily goins’ ons at our quirky handmade tile studio in the sticks of southern New Hampshire. If goofy dogs, cool tile, and an eclectic group of former interior designers, high end tile sales consultants, and art school dropouts having fun making tile, and often times experimenting with all things awesome is your thing, then our blog will be right up your alley. Even if its not, it’s a fun way to look into the magical world of handmade tile.

Wet Dog is Going Green!

Hey, everyone!

This week we'd like to share some news we're very happy about!

Within the next couple weeks, our production will run entirely on solar power! It's the next step for us as a company with a goal of shrinking our carbon "paw" print!

The panels are currently being installed but we like showing things "behind the scenes" so we thought we'd share a few pictures!

As many of you know, being environmentally responsible is a high priority for us.

We use minimal machinery - preferring a human hand and elbow grease, and the only consumption of fossil fuels is our electric kiln and pug mill which allows us to recycle every bit of clay. Our raw materials are purchased locally, our glazes are always non-toxic and lead free, our glues are no VOC, and we prefer electronic communication for ordering, confirming, and billing to save paper and ink.

The list can go on but you get the idea - Wet Dog is a friend of the environment!

It won't be long before these panels are covered in snow - it's a high of 50°F today!

We hope you have a great rest of your week!
